Debt Management
To enhance debt management and limit the risk from contingent liabilities, the Cabinet has approved and the Ministry of Finance has published on its website: 1) a new government on-lending policy which will govern the provision of the on-lending and monitor the credit risk of the beneficiaries and 2) a revised government guarantee policy which will include provision for reporting obligations of borrowing entities.
Debt Management
To improve debt sustainability, the Government will not enter into any contractual obligations for new external public and publicly guaranteed (PPG) non-concessional debt in FY25 except if the non-concessional debt limit is adjusted by the World Bank to a) reflect any material change of circumstances or b) in coordination with the IMF, in particular in line with adjustments in the IMF Debt Limit Policy.
