Jobs and financial inclusion are critical to ending extreme poverty and boosting shared prosperity by 2030. For the poor and vulnerable—who often don't own land and have little capital—jobs serve as the main route out of poverty. Better jobs – those that raise productivity and earnings -- are also needed to empower women, strengthen social cohesion, and moderate migration from fragile and conflict-affected states.
