Through an IDA-supported agricultural project, more than 93,400 farmers were trained on sustainable farming techniques and new technologies. Partnerships between farmer organizations and agribusiness companies increased total sales value by almost 20%.
Since 2011, all higher education institutions in Vietnam have been able to decide the content of their training programs and open new training programs as they wish. About 340 joint training programs are being delivered together with reputable universities worldwide.
Improved bio-security measures, upgrades to slaughterhouses and sanitation in wet markets resulted in improved food safety and animal production practices affecting more than 105,000 people.
