IDA at Work
A project in Nigeria aims to improve the productivity of farms that grow rice, cassava, sorghum and other food staples in six states in Nigeria. The project is expected to reach about 317,000 direct beneficiary households and 1.4 million indirect beneficiary households.
An IDA-supported project has helped to connect communities through more than 464 kilometers of roads and 150 new river crossings in Nigeria's Kaduna state.
The IDA-supported Nigeria National Energy Development Project has connected 25,000 new households to the electricity grid, About 117,000 consumers and small businesses received new meters, while 4.4 million electricity consumers enjoyed increased quality and efficiency.
