IDA at Work
In the wake of a growing cholera epidemic following the 2010 earthquake in Haiti, 3 million people benefitted from IDA-supported health services and prevention and hygiene campaigns.
More than 50,000 people in rural Haiti are benefiting from safe drinking water. More than 5,000 students have access to sanitation facilities and a health center at school.
A brick making factory employs 40 workers from the community, sells 1,500 bricks daily and earns $3,200 in monthly profit in 2014, up from 150 bricks sold daily in 2012.
